In wastewater treatment, as a kind of solid-liquid separation equipment, the diaphragm filter press has a universal utilization rate. In most cases, the general van filter press can meet the demand. However, there is also a situation where the water content of filter cake is specified to be high. At this time, the high-pressure diaphragm filter press can be used.
The high-pressure diaphragm filter press is more resistant to high pressure and has higher dehydration rate than the general box filter press. The moisture content of filter cake is 10% lower than that of ordinary box filter cake. The moisture content of filter cake is generally around 60%-65%. Compared with the traditional box filter press, the solid content of filter cake is higher and the logistics cost of filter cake is greatly reduced.
In contrast, the diaphragm filter press needs to be equipped with two pumps to carry out its work: one is the feed pump and the other is the press pump. The feed pump of the diaphragm filter press is normally equipped with a pump. The secondary press pump can be pressed by a centrifugal pump (multi-stage pump). The application of a centrifugal pump requires a water storage tank at the same time. The secondary press can also be replaced by air compressor without water storage tank.
The diaphragm filter press consists of diaphragm plates and box filter tubes. Under the burden of the feed pump, the slurry is fed into the filter chamber, and the solid and liquid in the slurry are separated according to the filtered material (filter cloth of the filter press). When the solid in the slurry produces cake, gas is introduced into the diaphragm to fully press the solid in the filter room to reduce the water content. This machine has its own characteristics for the filtration system of viscous materials and customers with high water content requirements.
